What a awesome and hilarious day!

I dag har vi verkligen upplevt mycket. Dagen började med ett föredrag av Bob Marovich som berättade om gospelns historia, hur och vart det började. Efter det, åkte vi runt till de olika församlingarna, bl a Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Mahalia Jackson och Martin Luther Kings hemkyrka och First Church of Deliverance, Obamas kyrka. Avslutningsvis var vi i Salem Baptist Church där vi hade körövning med Walter Owens, först ensamma och sen med hans kör på 100 pers. Mycket trevligt och ovanligt att få sjunga med en svart gospelkör:-)

I wish that the gospelmusic could be the same all over the world. It seems so sound simular, but it´s so different. In Chicago in these black communities it´s not just music, it´s their lifestyle and they sing honestly from their heart and soul. I left my heart in it, and hope someday I´ll be able to work with gospelmusic in the United States. The last song we did this evening, was Richard Smallwoods "Total Praise". Singers all over the world knows this song, and it doesn´t matter witch country you´re from, color on your skin or language you are speaking, music do someting to us and connect people no matter what.

It´s awesome, isn´t it?
